Forward Air LTL, Truckload Xpedited℠ (TLX) Services and Freight Class

Fuel surcharge percentages for Forward Air LTL, TLX, and Freight Class shipments are subject to a weekly adjustment. The adjustment is made according to the table below. The fuel surcharge is based on the price per gallon of diesel fuel stated by the U.S. Department of Energy in their weekly Monday reports. The effective periods are from Monday in the succeeding week through the next Sunday. The surcharge percentage is reflected on your Forward Air invoice.

LTL Fuel Surcharge

For the purposes of the fuel surcharge, LTL shipments are defined as those that are rated as less than less-than-truckload shipments that move through the Forward Air network.

TLX Services Fuel Surcharge

For the purposes of the fuel surcharge, Truckload Xpedited services are defined as those requiring full truckload (TLX) and rate on a per-mile basis or at a cap rate.

For the purposes of the fuel surcharge, Freight Class shipments are defined as those that are rated on Freight Class that move through the Forward Air network.

We reserve the right to assess fuel and other surcharges on shipments without notice.  The amount and duration of any such surcharges will be determined at our sole discretion.  By tendering your shipment to Forward Air, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by Forward Air.
